ABOUT KERI

I’ve been teaching since 2000

I was a teacher Music Theory and ran Singing Groups for different courses run by Truro and Penwith College, and became a singing and piano teacher providing one to one lessons on Music and Performing Arts courses.

Having always taught a number of younger Piano and Voice students in my schedule of work after the college day with students ranging in ages from 6 up to secondary school age. With these students some have signed up for lessons for a number of years with me. This has allowed them to work towards Practical Piano and Vocal exams of varying types and boards.

What can I teach you?

Piano/Keyboard Lessons

I can teach all ages and abilities with many styles of playing, be it just for fun or for those hoping to work towards a Graded Exam. The exam boards I deal with are ABRSM (Classical Piano) and Rockschool (Contemporary Piano and Keyboards).

Vocal lessons

I can cater for all ages and abilities in many styles of singing, be it just for fun or for those hoping to work towards a Graded Exam. The exam boards I deal with are LCM (Musical Theatre) and Rockschool (Rock and Pop).

Music Theory Lessons

I can cater for all ages and abilities, with a view to taking Graded Exams or for those wanting more Theory knowledge for practical Exams or general improvement of knowledge. The boards I deal with are ABRSM or Rockschool.
Tailored to you

I will tailor all lessons around you, as your music needs come first. As part of this, I will place emphasis on what you want to learn and explore what you want to aim for.

Timing

They can be 20 minutes long for the very young ages, or 30, 45 or 60 minutes in duration for the older students.

Held remotely or in person

I can conduct your lessons over Zoom, Skype or Facebook Messenger as if it was a face to face session. Alternatively, I can travel to your home if you live within 10 miles of my location. Or, if you prefer, I have a Music Room at my home with 2 Keyboards set up for Piano/Keyboard lessons and an area designated for Singing Tuition.
